freindship, whats it worth

If you put adide everything and gave up everything in your life to help a freind, just to have that freind turn their back on you and act like you did nothing to help them what would you do.
I have in the past done just this I ended up that i just waive it off and found better freinds but it doen't make the hurt and the anger any less at the time . So do you get even? say to heck with it?Or plot their untimly demise ? lol look forward to hearing what you would do

I haven't gotten to the point where I've given up everything in my life for a friend but I've done everything I can for a couple of friends and they have stabbed me so hard in the back that I still feel the pain.
I didn't seek revenge because I'm more mature than that and I don't want to stoop to their level so I just chose to completely cut them out of my life without giving an explanation as to why I stopped talking to them.
You see, they're the type who will stab you in the back and then act as if they didn't do anything wrong and you're the bad one for not talking to them anymore. It's really unfortunate. I feel sorry for them, not myself.
