At what time do you think it is okay.....

to phone someones house unarranged at in the morning. Do you just phone whenever you feel the urge or would you wait until a specific time if it was there day off. I normally give a time of 11 o'clock beofre I will phone someone but there is always that fear they will be sleeping.

Well i wouldnt call someone very early in the morning.. but after 9.00 a.m its ok to call unless ofcourse its a holiday. and late nights is a bad time unless of course its an emmergency. for me late night means after 9.00 p.m.. its not neccessary tht they r asleep by then, but ppl like torelax n enjoy a bit after dinner. so it would be intruding to call them at tht time

Usually it would be 9am at the earliest unless I know the person gets up early even on their day off (weird!) or if it was someone I knew liked to lie in bed for ages then it would probably be nearer 11am before I phoned.

It's funnyhow the people you are really close to you can phone no matter hwat time it is. Sometimes I will phone my best mate at 2am and if he has been sleeping he doesnt mind at all.

That really depends on the person. If it's someone I don't know their morning routine I'll wait until 9 a.m. and call. My Mom and step-dad I call after 7 because I know they are up and ready to head out the door - catch them while I can. I miss my grandmother who passed away 4 years ago. She used to call me at 6 in the morning - she would always say she just wanted someone to talk to and knew I would be the only person in the family awake. I have always been an early bird.

Och that is nice that she often thought of you.

I do miss her, and she was right, now I don't have anyone but The Lord to talk to that early in the morning.

People can call whenever they want, but they aren't going to ge me before 8 AM or after 8 PM unless there is some weird fluke. I flip off the cell once I've picked up the kids, and the phone is downstairs. The house is under strict instructions to not pick up the phone at all unless we knoe whose number it is, or if not know the voice once the machine comes on. I use the same rule for others except on the weekend, it would be 10 to 10 instead of 8 to 8.

Well I would NEVER phone someone after 9.00pm at night, unless it was a dire emergency. I guess that's because I get up at 5.00am for work, so I am normally asleep or just getting ready for bed at 9.00pm, and I think everyone else is too! In the mornings - well I'm wide awake and at work by 6.30am, though I normally leave it til 9.00am to ring someone just for a chat! Don't think I actualy know anyone who would still be asleep at 11.00am! All my friends are either at work, or they have kids, whch means they never get a lie in!!!!

If it's a weekday anything goes really, inside of business hours. At the weekend,I wouldn't want to wake people up either. If they don't have children, after 11, and if they do have children, after 10.

I usually wait as you do unless the call is important and cant wait. If i know the person schedule like if they worked the night shift the night before or the grave yard shift i will most likely wait a little longer so they get there rest. You know alot of people are not that consider though. I dont know how many call me after i have worked the night shift and it is not important and early too really bugs me.

I would just answer and tell them how inconsiderate that is. Thats enough to drive you up the wall.

9 am if it's important,11 if it's more leisurely. most people unless they've been up all night are up by 11.
