Have you ever gone to the wrong car in the parking lot thinking it was yours?

Were you ever sucessful enough to get into it and them realize it wasn't yours? I only got to the key in the door and it wouldn't open and that was enough for me! I was hoping noone saw me as I laughed all the way to my vehicle! By the way its a Jeep, how do you mistake such a distinctive car? It must have been the sun in my eyes! Think about this one and tell me your tale! Enjoy! Fran

My wife does it all the time. She gets so embarrassed. I've been with her when she's gone to the wrong car. I just let her do it until she realizes then she turns all red. One time when she was back home visiting her parents she had borrowed one of the family cars to go to the store. When she came out and went to the car there was an elderly woman sitting in it. She asked the woman what she was doing and if she needed help but the woman said she was fine. My wife asked why she was in her car and the woman said it was hers. Just as my wife was about to say another word the woman's husband got to the car and asked what was wrong. Needless to say my wife got so embarrassed and apologetic. She laughs every time she tells the story. ‹(°¿°)›

Hey Fran, be careful, you mind find someone strange in what you believe to be your car someday. Sometimes when the grocery store is very crowded I've grabbed someone else's cart momentarily by accident.

Don't think I haven't done that either, and taken things out that I don't remember putting in there and then realizing it wasn't mine! I guess the answer to all of this is just slow down!

Okay that beats my story, but I get heckled all the time from the family, you'd think I'd leave this kind of story out of circulation with close relatives! Keep laughing its good for the heart! Fran

I was with my husband. I opened the door and sat inside the wrong car. It was exactly like ours inside and out. I was wondering why my husband did not get in. He was outside laughing. I asked him why he did not tell me, and he said he wanted to see how long it would take for me to figure out it wasn't our car. I was so embarassed.

I feel for you! My family loves to trick me into crazy things as well, but most times I walk right into my own trap! I embarass myself all the time, I can't wait to see what I do when I dye my hair blue and can't reach the steering wheel! Have a extra special day, and be sure if you go out you get back in the right car! FranMc:) peace

LOL !!! I have done that but never actually put the key in the door. I also have forgot where I parked and thought someone stole my car, I could not find my car for about 5 minutes finnally I rembered I had a panic button on my keychain and pushed it to find my car. It worked and I was paniced, my kids where with me they thought it was sooo funny but I was really thinking someone stole my car.

You have to understand it had snowed and the cars in the lot all looked white from the salt on the ground, so with my sunglasses on I just went up to the first jeep I saw, I even lifted my glasses and said what isn't this my Jeep? Boy was I embarassed! Thanks for the comment, its good to laugh! Fran
