Should Restaurants Be Blamed For Obesity?

I recently had to write an argument for college english, it was about restaurants being blamed for obesity. I feel very strong about this topic, stating that there is no way that obesity is the fault of the restaurants. The restaurant owners make the food that they do because people will eat it even knowing that some of it is unhealthy. It is your own choice to eat at restaurants, and therefore there should be no blame put on the place where you buy your food. I mean, if people start blaming fast food restaurants for obesity then why couldn't I blame playboy for giving me carpal tunnel, or blame computer companies for giving me headaches. Also, why don't we blame the parents when children are obese even though they don't eat at restaurants? It's called self-control, and if you don't have it and try to blame anyone else for your lack of self-control then you have more than one problem.
