Ok, all of my life i was brought up with siamese cats, seal points mainly, siamese cats are soooo sweet!! At one point we had 3 siamese cats, 2 females,1 male. The male was runt of the litter, my parents almost did not take him home b/c his tail was kinked, he was very crossed eyed(more then normal)& ugly to boot! I was quite young so i don't really remember what he looked like, i do remember having 3 cats all curled up on my bed with me at night and the hissing that went on!! The cats were fighting over the coveted sleeping spot. All of our cats died at young ages, the runt had health problems so when he was 4 my parens put him down, one of the females was poisoned by a neighor, not sure what happened with the last female. When i was 7 or 8 years old we bought another seal point, his name was Sharif, he had a long life with us, and was loyal!! He loved my older sister like crazy, would follow her around and howl if she was not there!! At night time he made the rounds, going from my bed on night, the next my sister's bed. After she moved out, he was soo lonely. But i got preg when i was 19 & when the baby came along Sharif almost had a heart attack!! He would stare at my son, i think he was wondering what he was, could not figure out what that small, stinky, crying THING was!! It was too funny to watch, he never tried to sleep or hurt the baby, ever. When my son was 1 year old, Sharif was elderly he was 15 years old and in really poor health, his kidney were shutting, sleeping all the time, not eating much. Once again we mad that trip to the vet's. Hardet thing in the world to do, putting an animal down. Makes you feel like you are putting down a family member(human),and boy did my mother ball like a baby. Since then we have owned 1 other siamese cat Salim, a flame point, sweetest cat alive, he loved me like crazy!!! Hel live for 14 years. 2 summers ago i adopted another flame point, a male named Cucci, i didn't not name him........poor thing went from apt to townhouse, no kids to 3 kids, he's adjusted well. when he sees the girls he runs the other way! He a little scared of them and what a cluk(sp) he would trip over his own feet without trying! I love having animals, esp cats they bring a house alive!!!!

We currently have three Siamese. Two are "applehead" or "traditional" in type, and the third is a cross between the "traditional" and the more modern show type, but he looks more traditional. They're Sachet (lilac point, going on 17 years in a couple weeks), her daughter Pree (seal tortie point, will be 16 in July) and Sasha (Sachet's chocolate point son, who will be 14 in June).

I had a siamese cat that had a little of some other breed in her because she was a rather dark gray on her back and the back of her head and on her sides almost down to her legs and her tail was gray. Her legs and face were white. She had points and blue eyes and was very independent. I have always wanted to get another one.

I also have a Sealpoint Siamese, he is 7 years old. I don't think I will ever own any other breed of cat. He is wonderful, they have such personality with all their meowing!! He is a bit skitish around newcomers but very loving to my husband and I. I am a loyal siamese owner forever!!!!

I will always own a siamese cat they are not like other cats, siamese are more 'doglike" in their behavior. All of our siamese have followed us around meowing for attention and hogging our laps, "other" non-siamese cats are not like that.

I love siamese cats too! I don't think I will ever own a different kind of cat. I was always told that they were mean and bite and scratch but I find nothing could be further from the truth! My first siamese was Simon - a seal point. He was soo beautiful. He now lives with a distant cousin though because he kept peeing on my sons stroller and crib etc. when we brought him home from the hospital. I still miss him terrible! We now have Sammy - a lilac point. He is wonderful. Loves me and my kids. He likes to play "tag" with my husband. He even loves our dog! I think its great to own animals too.

My Siamese cat, Cafe au Lait (because that's his color), is 6 years old and is simply a delight. He has recently been introduced to children that visit. He is afraid of some children, but he loves the one year old that I watch once in a while. Grant, who is 4, just loves the cat and is very good about not scaring him. If he approaches quietly and slowly, the cat will let him pet him. These are the first children that the cat will have anything to do with. I have had several Siamese cats and I loved them all! My ex got custody of one of the cats. :) That cat, Jelly Bean, was so attached to him that I could not possibly take her with me. I got to keep the one attached to me, a part Siamese stray that I adopted and flew from Wisconsin to St. Louis. You are right, cats make the house alive!
