i am trying to figure out how fast is my internet connection.because speed shows 54 mbps.but when i am downloading some movies, then the download rates is so slow almost 108 kbps.how come is it? anyone having the same problem.please give me suggestion.thanks

Or you sure your speed is 54 mbps?
That really fast! Your maximum speed should be 5.4 MB/s
Your saying your download rate is 108kbps that is 10.8 KB/s thats really slow.
What program are you using?
"mbps" is mega bits per seconds and MBps is Mega bytes per seconds.

it's 54mega bits for second. yeah it's too slow.i am planned to change my internet connection

You could try doing a speed test. search "Speed Test Insight" and you should get a pretty good one to try. It's usually pretty easy too.

Oh wait, are you sure that 54mbps isn't your connection to your network? If thats what it says on the little computers in the system tray that's also possible.
