Do you take care of your old parents?

When your folks get older, they tend to acquire tantrums. As they say, raising a parent is more difficult than raising kids. How do you handle them? Do you think putting them in an elderly institution will solve this? Isn't it more appropriate for children to take care of their old parents and treat them with care rather than as a baggage despite their attitudes?

I think it depends on the relationship between the parent and the child. If your parents treated you well, then they deserve the same from you. If they didn't, then I don't think you should feel obligated to take care of them in their old age. Also, I think it depends on their medical needs. I think certain medical conditions require more care than the average person who is not trained in medicine can give, so I think there are situations when outside help is warranted. Even then, if you can afford it, a home health care aide might be a better option than a nursing home.

yes it is right that we should look after our parents when they get older and are less active. they brought us up all our life so it is nice to repay them by helping them
