I'd definitely recommend these books if you're looking for a good action thriller to read. They're exponentially better than the movies could have ever hoped to be. There's far more plot and backstory, not to mention there are some majorly important characters that they just omitted from the movies entirely, and the 2nd movie really has nothing to do with anything that happened in the books. If you're a fan of the Bourne movies, then you'll love the books, but after you read them you might not like the movies so much, lol.

Most of Ludlum's books are excellent reading, The Osterman Weekend is a real wild ride. I am also a Tom Clancy fan, reading is one of my all time favorite passtimes...:}

The Bourne books are the only Ludlum I've read so far, but I plan on reading more. I need to read some Tom Clancy as well.

many Clancy books are movies as well, if you have seen any of the Jack Ryan movies it is a Clancy character, Hunt for Red October was the first followed by The Patriot, Clear and Present Danger, and Sum of all Fears. Good luck in your reading, I have many other favorite authors if you need recommendations...:}

I've seen those. They were all really good. Tom Clancy's got several great franchises in video games as well. I love the Splinter Cell games. The new Ghost Recon games are also really good.
