Good morning friends, i came across this wonderful explanation of what letting go is... For those of you who has trouble letting go of stuffs in your life... kindly read this, it might help ...
I myself have been struggling with the concept of letting go- then i read this passage, and now im thinkin will i ever get to let go? it seems to be a lot of work. I sort of concluded that letting go- is just like forgiveness...like loving- but its the kind of love described as well in the book of Corinthians -unconditional love that is so hard for me to obtain...now im wondering, if this is really what letting go is all about- will i ever accomplish it? Well kindly tell your thoughts on this...
"If you love someone..You will always believe in Him,Always expect the best of Him.." 1 Corinthians 13:7 TLB
To let go doesn't mean to sop caring,it just means I can't do it for someone else. To let go is not to cut myself off,it's the realization that I don't control them. To let go is to admit my powerlessness, which means outcome is not in my hands. To let go is not to try and change or blame another,I can only change myself. To let go is not to care for, but to care about;not to fix, but to be supportive;not to judge, but to allow another ro be a human being. To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the utcomes, but to allow others to effect their own outcomes. To let go is not to be protective, its to permit another to face reality. To let go is not to deny, but to accept. To let go is no to nag, scold or argue, but to search out my own shortcomings and correct them. To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish each moment. To let go is not to criticise and regulate
anyone, but to try to become what I dream I can to be.
To let go is not to regret the past but to grow and live for the future. To let go is to fear less and love more.
To let go - is to Let GOD!

People can let go without religion. I don't need a fake entity to hold on to while letting go. It results in dependence.
You can cut every word of God from what you have written and have something very profound.
