Houston Texans Trade for Quarterback

Houston today traded for Atlanta's back-up QB Matt Schaub. I've always felt that Carr was a good quarterback and rather than getting a new quarterback, Houston should have strengthened its front line. Well, now Carr is on his way out of Houston. How do you feel about this trade? Was Carr the problem for Houston's offense? Will Schaub improve the team? What team do you think Carr will be most useful to. Although it's hard to replace a quarterback who went to the Superbowl, and i do like Grossman, I think Chicago should go after Carr. Now that Houston's admitted they want to trade Carr, other teams will not have to offer much, especially teams like Chicago which already have a quarterback in place, but might be looking to improve.

Those are exactly my thoughts on this too Steve. I'm really pissed that Houston didn't recognize Carr's talent and potential and work on protection. Just another example of laying all the blame on one to minimize the other problems.
I can't wait to see where Carr ends up. Where ever it is I hope he romps all over the Texans every time they meet up.

Yeah, Carr's years in Houston remind me of Troy Aikman's rookie year. He never had time for a five step drop play because he was always getting sacked, but look what happened when Dallas gave Aikman (and Smith) protection. I remember John madden saying during a game, "You can stop Troy Aikman, you can stop Emmit Smith, but you can't stop both at the same time." And a large part of that came from the front line. I agree with you 100%. Whatever team (and it looks like Miami right now) Carr ends up with, I hope Carr shows the Texans just how big a mistake they made.
