I am planning on having a natural birth. This is my first child and I am not so sure about handling the pain but the idea of a epidural scares the hell out of me. Have anyone seen that needle, its like a a nail. SO if anyone have any heads up on natural birth or experiences, please share.

Natural birth is more safe than having caesarian operation. I have already experience two natural birth with my two daugthers. Natural birth is more cheaper than caesarian. If possible always pray that you will have a normal birth soon because it has fast healing. After 24 hours you can already stand and have your regular and simple routine. Good luck with your pregnancy.

I had my first child natural. It can scare the hell out of you but keep your head up, and remember that the paid will eventually go away. I didn't even remember the pain after my child was in my arms. You should make sure that you have someone there with you to help you deal with the pain. It is nothing like what they show on t.v. the pain is real. I had an epideral with my third child and it also hurt like hell. Don't let anyone tell you that child birth, with or without medication, is a breeze, they are probably lying. I had my second one with a cesarian, This was probably the most painful thing ever. I am talking about the after pains of a cesarian. I hope that everything works out for you and I would try to enroll in a lamaze class, the breathing techniques help a lot.

if the doctor say you are healthy and can handle natural birth then why not,its the perfect way to feel you bonding to your child. if your scare to needle it will add to pressure, let the needle be your friend for the meantime, its just a single tick to your flesh and you will not feel it after.

1st I would like to say Congrats on your 1st baby vey exciting!! I am a mom to 7 children I have gone both ways, I say with the epidural it sooooo really helped with the pain! However when I gave natural birth I was able to walk and felt 100 % myself right after! But just keep in mind everyones different and labour can be fast or it can take long, just remember to focus and do your breathing you will be just fine! You will have to keep me posted. Good Luck to you and your family Stacy

I had my daughter naturally. If you are wanting to do natural birth child birthing classes are a must. You need to know how to push and to breath and they will teach you that. Also you might want to consider looking into waterbirth. I did this with my daughter and you would be amazed by how much the water helps to relax you and I honestly believe having my daughter in the water helped to keep me from tearing. Another thing you might look into is hypnobirthing. I was never actually hypnotized while I was in labor but I would just get into my "zone" between contractions and completely block everything out around me so I could relax. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. And if you have any questions feel free to send me a message. I absolutely love talking about this stuff and am actually wanting to become a doula when my daughter is a little older.

Look into hiring a doula. Even if you think can't afford one, look anyway. Many (like myself) are willing to barter or reduce our fees for women who can't afford our services. Some like me, are student midwives & we need to experience lots of different births before we finish school. A doula will know different ideas to help you through whatever happens in your birth and help you avoid interventions you don't want. A good doula will advocate for you if needed, if the hospital staff isn't honoring your wishes your doula will speak on your behalf to them & back you up. A doula doesn't make medical decisions or second guess your doctor, she just helps you get your needs met. And natural birth, medication free is a beautiful and empowering experience. Do not let anyone scare you into believing differently. We bring so much fear into birth that we create our own pain.Fear causes your body to be stiff, to make more adreniline & causes pain. Trust your body, trust your baby & trust birth.

just be prepared for the pain that you cant really imagine how painful it is, just pray to God always for the safety of your baby and to yourself.
