Adoption of Children from Other Countries

I'm all for goodwill toward other countries, I think it's a great thing. The one thing that I don't support is adopting children from other countries when we have so many abandoned children here that people could be adopting. I don't understand why Americans don't adopt people from their own country, when it really is an issue that we have. I was watching an interview with Katt Williams a few weeks ago, and he put it best. He was talking about how he and his wife have adopted six children, and he didn't need to go out of the country to do it, he just needed to go down the street to find children in need, he didn't have to go to another country. I understand that people feel the need to help those less fortunate, but why not help citizens of your own country that are just as much in need of being adopted as those from other countries?

I understand what you're saying, but I was born from another country, as were both my sisters. We were adopted by an American couple and now we have families of our own. My oldest sister has even adopted a beautiful girl from Kazastan. Things happen for a reason. G-d makes people and situation available because of how he wants us to be.
