There are a ton of safety things that I tell my little one every single day. Don't touch the stove. Stay away from sharp objects. Hold Mommy's or Daddy's hand when we are out in public. Don't run around with food in your mouth (usually this only applies when she gets a quick bite of something as a "taste test" before meals, since we eat meals sitting down at the table, of course). Don't jump on the bed.
My oldest has heard all the basics before, but I still remind her of the important ones now and then just to make sure she remembers.
Call and let someone know where you are and how long you are going to be if you go out. Don't go out during bad weather unless you can't avoid it, and then be extra cautious and don't let other drivers make you feel like you need to drive faster than you feel comfortable with. Go to the doctors when you are feeling sick instead of waiting until you get even sicker. The list could go on and on and on ...
