Some stores don't give receipts. if you're not given one would you ask for it? An example would be in gasoline stations.

some gasoline stations don't give receipt, but of course i always ask to give me receipt it is important to me for my daily expenses in my car. but there are things not needed a receipt like a candy, lollipop, softdrinks in some stores. you know what i mean. well, be better to have a receipt on a supermarket or any commercialized stores. it really helps on your computing in daily expenses.

Little items like soda or candy, I don't...but it is SOP here that stores will issue a receipt. If they forgot to give you one...some store got a policy that you will get the item for free...=)

I agree. Cause I'm irresponsible sometimes for not asking for a receipt and I get confused on where did i spend my money.

It is an SOP for me to ask for a receipt of anything that I purchase. For the simple reason that it is part of budgeting my finances. Besides, this is needed when you pay your income tax. This is also my way of comparing the price of the item I bought previuosly to the present one. When I gas up, I never forget to ask receipt.

I usually don't ask for receipts when i buy anything from a store but when i feel that they are necessary or when the transaction is on credit then i usually like or prefer to get the receipt. They may sometimes really be helpful and protect you from unnecessary risks.

yes, i always ask for a reciept, I'm from India and in our country, all stores should give a reciept, even the petrol pumps and stations. Except for some really cheap items (like Rs. 1 or 2), i ask for a reciept

Good! Your store managers are responsible. In my country your not given a receipt in boutiques, gasoline stations unless you ask for it.
