I'm kinda of a guitar freak. Like so many others, I have my own guitar heroes. What is the greatest guitar solo of all time?

I think it is the guitar solo in hotel California. I haven't listened to many guitar solos so there might be better solos.

Indeed, the 70s have churned some of the most memorable guitar solos of all time. And Hotel California is no exception, I think it's the best two-lead-guitar-players-sparring guitar solo of all time.

Yup, Yngwie Malmsteen has certainly crafted some of the greatest guitar solos in rock history. I personally love his earlier works.

Hi all, I wont say this is the greatest guitar solo ever, but I think it one of the most influencial solos for every new guitar player.....Jimmy Pages solo from Stairway To Heaven. It is my personal favorite, I think it is one of the greatest and influencial because so many people who decide to learn the guitar always want to learn stairway to heaven first. Oh what about "Lynard Skynards "Freebird" by Allen Collins and Rossington? check out this list http://www.wonderverb.blogspot.com/2007/02/best-guitar-solos-ever.html
