Working abroad...and living my children

I just talked to a former colleague of mine who is now working in Dubai. She told me a lot about her new work and the opportunities there that I got to think of working there myself so that I could send my 2 children to very good schools which doesn't come cheap and so that I could also give sufficient financial support to my parents when they become very old and in need special care..in short I will be financially ready for the eventualities. My colleague assured me that I will get a job there right away considering my qualifications but I am turn because I have to work away from my children. I am a single parent and I wll be leaving my children's with my parents and sister and with their nanny. I could give them a good future and support my family as well but I will be depriving them with my guidance & presence since I will be away from them. I plan to work for about 5 years only abroad until I could save enough to build my own business. Those lost years with my children never regained but do you think it is too much payment for the good life that I would be able to give them?

I don't think my opinion really matters. You need to decide what you think is best for your children. Do you think they need a good education more than they need you around? That is really the consideration you have to be making.

I think they need both equally my friend. I will just have to find a way to work things out to the best interest of my children. Thanks for responding!
