Special face

Special face or faces are those of our loved ones. I remember the lyrics of a song...'fancy seeing you alone in a crowd'. We do pick that special face right away no matter how many faces are there. When I pick up my child in the school, I could see her face right away among the myriad of children's faces in the crowd. What it is then in the face that we keep longing to see and just by seeing it we are comforted? What is it then in my face that my children looks for in the middle of the night and when they can't see my face they start crying? They don't want to me to cover my face when I sleep and they have this annoying yet sweet habit of touching my face when I sleep.

So sweet, Your kids have to be really cute. I agree, when i was a kid myself I used to hold my Mother's hand and then sleep. Today i can just not bear my husband turning his back and sleeping. I have to see his face while sleeping too! these faces comfort us, they give us a feeling of security, a feeling of completness. When I see my hubby, i feel contended , just to have him I feel so lucky.

Your hubby is lucky too to have someone like you who cherish him so much. My youngest child wants to hold my hand too to the point that she is already embracing it before she could go to sleep. Sometimes it's uncomfortable but she sleeps easier that way. Thanks for responding!
