March 23rd marks the Pakistan Day. Considering that Pakistan has scored the highest increase in literacy level in several decades, we need to reaffirm our commitment to eradicate illiteracy and ignorance from the country. March 23, known as Pakistan Day, is an occasion observed to commemorate the passage of the famous resolution of the All India Muslim League in Lahore in 1940.This was when a demand for a separate independent state for the Muslims of South Asia was made. To Understand why this day is important: Knowing the history and facts behind the March 23 resolution is critical for any Pakistani who wants to have a better grasp of his or her history and culture. If you aren't already familiar with it urf the net, check out the library and talk to those who know about March 23,1940. Try to understand why and how it was important to the millions of people who later made the dangerous trek from India and Pakistan seven years later, losing their lives, family members and homes.

i have a great feeling about 23rd march when our forefathers saw a dream and then this was not the simple dream. they made it a reality by hardwork, by sacrificing their lives, properties and even the honor. you are right that we should be knowing the history so as to know that this country wasn't made without sacrifice and firm commitment of our elders. only by knowing our history we can understand the cost as well as importance of the freedom and only then we will have the true motivation to serve pakistan honestly and to our best. I just pray that we may understand the goal behind making of pakistan and apply it to our lives and that is nothing other than islam.
