I don't agree with abortion. But I do understand why some pregnant women decide that it is better to abort their baby if he or she will have a poor quality of life once born. I mean that the baby will have a serious medical problem and will be in constant pain for life. Some young people can make excellent parents. In third world countries young girls have often got lots of experience of caring for younger brothers or sisters. This means they may be responsible enough to look after their baby. I think adoption is far better than abortion. The child can then grow up in a loving family. After all it is never the child's fault if they are unwanted.

I believe abortion is a choice any woman should be able to make freely without society judging them. I think it would definitely be sensible for abortion to be legalised in 3rd world countries as when abortion is not legal people will still go to unqualified people in back alleys to get rid of unwanted pregnancies and more often than not cause themselves more long term damage at the hands of unskilled unscrupulous people who carry out "abortions".
