I would kindly ask the guy you bought them from for starters... I'm sure that he would probably be able to help... Also here are some links that might help you: http://www.smartcomputing.com/techsupport http://www.expertvillage.com Another way is to look up the websites for the brand of laptops that you have and check out their customer support links! :) Meanwhile, keep the kids busy with this: http://www.tada.com/ Have fun while trying to solve this problem! :) You'll get the answers easier! Have a great day! :)

look for a technical person in your area and ask for his assistance. theyre old laptops so you need old operating system also. get the specs of the laptops and if it suit the requirements to load Windows 98 much better.

Windows has been updated to a later version on a regular basis, and each new version requires a faster and more modern computer. This means that anyone who has owned a few computers in the past could have an older version than they are using, so I recommend asking a few friends who are involved in computers. Another option is one of the many versions of Linux. Most Linux distributions are free and very easy to use, so they would be very suitable. Ask someone who has broadband if they will download a copy for you and put it on a CD. I would suggest something like Vectorlinux for a start.

Taurus Girl. My first question is can you give me the details of these laptops? For example what the name of them is? i.e.: ibm, compaq, dell??? and if there is a model number on the back of them give those to me too. I can try and help you get these babys up and running for you. It might take a bit of patience and time though ;) I want to help you. By the way, you look so much like my Aunt! Regards, Mike Porter
