i've one q in m y mind that y people hurt others self-esteem. If they r doing this than inreturn wht they get from this.. ?

You will only be a victim if you allow it. There is no rule that I am aware of that says you have to lay down so some one can walk all over you.And the way to stop them from walking all over you is to stand up and let them know that what they have said is hurtful and if they continue you will not remain in their presence. The easiest thing to do is walk away. but confronting and returning their abuse is what you need to do, I do not mean to become a name caller, but rather confront and demand an explanation for their conduct. It takes courage and thought, but you will remain a victim unless you get yours together and stop them

I think these people are so unhappy with their own lives that they thrive on making other people unhappy. When someone is that unhappy about themselves really nothing you can do back to them will make a difference. For people like that one should either stay away from them or help them feel better about themselves. It really is a sad thing.
