When you wear your sneakers, do you also wear socks?

I know a lot of people who are more comfortable wearing sneakers directly without having to wear any socks at all. Are you among them or you always wear pair of socks everytime you wear your sneakers? Personally, I'm not comfortable if I don't wear any socks while wearing my sneakers because my feet easily perspire. How about you? :)

Definitely not. If I am wearing slippers or sandals, then I would naturally go barefooted. Otherwise, I will always wear socks.. it feels unhygienic otherwise. :P

The only types of sneakers that I will wear without socks are the ones called "mules"....the kind that don't have a back on them and you just slip your feet into them. They are so comfy with or without socks, that it doesn't bother me too much if I am bare foot in them.

If I am heading to the store to pick something up quickly or on a short trip, then I usually don't take the time to put socks on. If I know that I'm going to be longer than that, then I will definitely put socks on.
It is a comfort issue for me, too. I just feel more comfortable with socks on. It's always been weird for me to have my feet touching the insides of my shoes bare.

I just mentioned the other day to my husband that a lot of the teenage boys we see at the mall are not wearing socks with their sneakers. Is it some kind of fad? I would think that the sneakers would get pretty smelly. I guess they can enter them in the stinky sneaker contest if they do. I read the other day where a girl won a lot of money for winning that contest.
