The movie industry is running out of ideas and make more horror movies

Have you noticed since 2007, even last year most movies that are coming out are cheesy and dumb horror movies? This year so far they have had over 10 horror movies that are in theaters and still to come? Last year they had nearly 30 horror movies that come out. Even during the holidays, such as Christmas, why would anyone want to spend a family time in the theaters to watch a horror flick such as Black Christmas? As more of them emerge and those that come up with sequels or prequels they are not getting any better and have become more boring than fun to watch. What do you think about this?

I think its because there arent alot of big name movie makers in horror so alot of new people find it easier to cut their teeth on horror than any other types of movie where it might cost a big budget or require alot to shoot the scenes. So horror movies seem to be mostly low cost movie making.

it seems that way....you are right. I guess it was bound to happen that they would run out of good ideas.
