DO you find it offensive when a stranger talks to you

Not at all - isn't life a bit like mylot, you take a chance and talk to people? that stranger could be a future friend - how will you ever know if you don't speak to any strangers?

Although I'm not one to initiate a conversation, I usually do not find it offensive if someone wants to start a conversation. I find that people like to feel that they are not alone, and striking up a conversation is a good way to do that. However, there are ocassions where I feel it's rude to try to start up a conversation. For instance, if it is pretty obvious that I'm trying to sleep, or trying to enjoy a good book, then I would find it rude and offensive.
