Today is day three of the quit smoking campaign, thanks to a bad health scare and the inspiration of some of my MyLot friends here. To be honest, right now, I really want to smoke a cigarette, but I don't have any. All the ashtrays, matches and lighters are all gone, so it's*cold turkey* time, but I know I can do it this time.
How are other people managing to quit and stay off the cigarettes?

Wooooooooooooo Hooooooooo! Way to go hun! 3 days is awesome! I am on day 6. We can do it! I know we can! I have done it cold turkey as well. I have good motivators/motivations that keep my mind in check, and for those cravings I usually go for a walk, or keep myself busy somehow to keep mind off of the craving! I am so proud of you hun, 3 days is a big accomplishment! Just keep believing in yourself and keeping your motivations in check and you'll get through it! Good luck and if you need to talk I'm here, just pm me!

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. To be honest, hun, my MyLot friends are keeping me going right now. It is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but I am determined to quit completely. I hope your husband is now fit and well, that must have been an awful time for you.

Smoking is really a addiction and not easy to quit all of sudden. But good thing is there are many rehabilition center for helping to get rid of these habits. Try them and make a great change in your life.
