Obviously this would be a personal cgoice, but I much prefer Paypal. Paypal is a very well established system and is accepted at the majority of sites today, so it is easier to spend from a Paypal account. Paypal also does not charge for a personal account, whereas Egold has a monthly charge according to the amount of money that you have in your account. It is also easier to withdraw cash from Paypal, which can be transferred to a bank account. With Egold you have to find a dealer that will exchange the currency for you.

Very good points, also PayPal allows you to setup your own id so it is a lot easier to remember. Egold assigns you an id. Therefore it seems PayPal is a lot user friendly.

I use e-gold, but I do have a PayPal account. I love e-gold more than PayPal because PayPal requires a credit card, and I don't have one.

Egold is easy to sign up but very easy to get hacked. Whereas Paypal is a better online payment processor. You need an email to get paid. Payment is also more secured compared to egold. Besides, egold funds fluctuate with the price of gold.

I use e-gold because it is the only one available in our country. I'm still hoping paypal will be available soon here without using a credit card. They say paypal is more secured but I can't do anything but to use e-gold. But I think e-gold is good too coz there are others who use egold that already got their payout.

I prefer PayPal. You can use it to pay from your credit card or bank account. e-gold charges you a maintenance fee of 1% of your balance per annum collected in monthly installments. The dollar amount of your balance fluctuates in e-gold with the price of gold. It's much harder to detect any bookkeeping errors that might occur. PayPal is easier to use and more straight-forward. More of the sites I use accept PayPal.
