For some time now I've been having a lot of pain in my joints..I can be in pain with my feet, ankles, the joints in my fingers--and of course they tend to be swollen just like as in arthritic problems....Now my doctor wants me to see a specialist for arthritic problems and at one time, he had prescribed Celebrex., one of those anti-inflammatory meds that the FDA is now slapping severe warings about since it can trigger blood clots, strokes, etc--well, needless to say I didn't get it filled...it is like you read the side effects of meds and you don't want to take them...I don't want to find out the hard way that I'll have a determental effect from a medication--so my question is...does anyone know of good natural cures for joint and arthritic pain and swellilng?

i have osteo-arthritis,and i have used wood sorrel to treat my joints.it grows in any yard, and is often mistaken for clover.you just heat it in water like tea,and soak the affected area in it.it works well for me :) http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=OXMO

My best suggestion for you in this case is please do not hesitate to meet a good orthopedician. Why i suggest is dont use medicines on your own without consulting a physician cause you never know the exact reason or cause of the pain or what ever it is. Dont take treatment on your own cause we never know what kind of effects they result in, its ok until they do good to us. But dont try anything on your own.
