why people assume coffee is the beverage of choice in the mornign only is beyond me. I know I have it all day, usually the only thing I drink. Any other coffee addicts out there? Interested in your favorites as well, ie, flavors, brand, dunkies or starbucks??

My kids used to think I was born with a coffee cup in my hand. The last few years I have cut back a great deal. In fact, there are days I only have one cup of coffee a day. I have kind of replaced that coffee cup with a bottle of water. Maybe it is just me, but coffee doesn't seem to taste as good as it used to taste. When I was younger, the smell of coffee brewing could yank me out of bed when nothing else could, but now, even though I have tried a number of different brands, it just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Since there has been such a lot of attention given to how we need to drink water, and because I live in an area in Oregon where water from the tap is delicious, I switched over and always have a bottle sitting beside my computer.

I agree, it's not like it used to be. I miss that aroma. Used to love the smell of perked coffee on the camping trips! But I wouldn't dream of giving it up or cutting down. Jeez, I sound like a heroin addict, but honestly, i'm referring to coffee :-)

Javabeans...give the people who can't respond within ONE HOUR of a discussion being posted a chance to earn Best Response. Stringbean gave a good response but be aware that there are people who will not respond if the BR has been rewarded so soon. Just a hint on how to increase your number of responses.

I understand, I guess I get a little impulsive sometimes. May have had too much coffee in me at the time. Thanks for the advice.

I am definitely an addict. Folgers and only homemade, I never pay the ridiculous prices at Starbucks, etc. because mine tastes better.

LOL, thank you! I agree, Starbucks is WAY over priced, and I don't like their coffee at all. I don't even know how to order one! If I can't say large regular and have them know what I mean, sorry... you have lost my business :-)

i used to consume a lot of coffee in a day, around minimum of 4-5 mugs (yes, mugs! not cups). i used to consume more when it was readily available and within my reach. during cold season i like cappuccino and espresso anywhere. i also used to have many flavored instand coffee mixes in sachets kept in my bag in case of unexpected craving attacks. in hot seasons, my favorites are mocha frapps in starbucks or CBTL. now, that i had problems of GERD primarily due to excessive intake of coffee, the doctors allow me to have 1 cup of coffee per day. i have to follow that advice, otherwise i will be the one to suffer the consequence of severe stomach pain accompanied with mild asthma attacks and diarrhea. *sigh*

bk - This is my cup of choice.
I drink coffee all day if I want it. I love Bk's Turbo, Speedway's cappuccino, Starbucks, and plain home brewed. I buy whatever ground and add fake sugar and creamer. I love French vanilla.
