i'd really like to know, i've always been the most accident prone in all of my family?~ does it have to do with how they see you too? is it inter related? maybe if they think im very accident prone, then i tend to be so - or is it that i have many accidents and it validates them to say such things to me?~ because they don't say it in a light mood, more like, you go wash your clothes, it isnt my fault you are accident prone. - the last car wreck left me unable to walk for a week or so but they just couldnt understand why i would stay up all night and only went to sleep with constant cartoon music on or started crying in the middle of the day. - basically it was to keep my mind off of such a horrific event, pyschologically, i feel that im just not myself right before it. its hard to explain. so what do you think? is it a severe psychological issue?

Yes its is really logical. i had an accident a fortnight ago.i am ok now but my partener's foot who was with me on the bike being rider got his foot amputed above the ankle. it was a road accident with a bus.the foot was badly crushed. Although i was not injured too seriously injured these days i am not comfortable driving and even watching heavy vehicles on the road so i am avoiding travelling on the vehicles except public vehicles. it certainly has to do something with the mindset.i think you should not realise that u r accident prone and be confident motivate yourself by saying that this is just a phase and u'll get over soon. ignore any comment which makes u lose ur confidence!! take care

your right - i wont . i wont pay any attention to my sisters or mothers or fathers comments or even lack of comments. besides, i didnt jump out of the car to stay alive for them, but for my daughter and thats all!

I too have a problem with being accident prone. I am not an expert, but I have a book of psychological problems and accident proness is in there. I have never talked to my psychiatrist about it, but I know that whenever I am stressed out, I also tend to be absent minded, which causes me to be accident prone.

i know but im talking about how one feels about themselves and others after the fact of the accident.
