Why are kids difficult?

Okay, I set my son up to play some Spongebob games while I took a nap. Well he decides to come in and play cars and supernintendo instead of playing the game I set up for him out here. So I'm in there trying to nap and of course give up, cause every 10 seconds, hes like "this one mommy?" So disgruntled, I get up and go about fixing dinner and proceed to get on the computer to get ready and "make money". Well he comes in and throws a hissy fit because he wants to play Spongebob games. So I go about asking what he wants for dinner and hes all screaming about the dang game! I'm like WHAT??? I just do not know what to do with this child! lol

love him and with every bit of self-restraint you have stop yourself from screaming! I know exactly what you mean - but kids are contrary, they are trying to figure out the big, confusing world around them and exactly how it all works and where they fit in! I know it can drive you really crazy, but the more they realise this the more they do it! lol

no, no. I'm not the one screaming, he is. About wanting to play the game. It's maddening. lol. Not that I don't yell sometimes, most of the time that is the only way he listens. I think its time for a hearing check up though. He seems to need the tv louder than you would think and sometimes I wonder if what I say is registering. Of course that could be him practicing to be a man. *laughing* I seriously don't know what to do with him. I do love him, so very much, but these days its felt so much more when he is SLEEPING.

That is the best time to spend with them - they still look so sweet and innocent when they are sleeping - nothing like th little monster running around wild at other times lol Don't worry some of his behaviour will get so much better over the next while - the bad news is he will develop even more annoying, trying habits! lol Good luck x

sounds just like my son. he can drive me up the wall at times. he is better to watch a movie and sit for more than 10 minutes. i like to do that when i have alot of house work to do.

Yeah, I like to do that to take a nap these days. lol.. Doesn't always work though! As for housecleaning, we won't go there. lol. If the kitchen is clean, I consider that an accomplishment! :)

Kids are kids, they have their own wolrd and always want to do their thing. Often they are very hyper active and really seeks attention. You just have to let them understand that mommy needs to do this and do that so he could slowly learn that he is not the only one that needs attention.

I do know all that, even if it is hard to remember when I'm being aggravated. Its not like this is all I do and he gets no attention, although we could be spending more time together. I've been seeking ways to organize my time on the net so that I'm not on all day and night with just pockets of time with him. There is so much to do to earn here it just seems to take me forever. Many times I get lost in the world of online money making, but I always surface to kiss, hug and rough house a little bit with him. I can't do too much anyways because of being 7 months pregnant, but I try.
