The American in Chinese mind

China

In the general viewpoints of Chinese, the USA is a very cruel hell, the AIDS, the butcher, the guns on the market and so on. I will go to the US to study, I am a little afraid about that, can anybody here tell me how to deal with that? Or, do you have some advice?

You have little to worry about. I've been spending the last year and a half trying to change the Chinese minds about America. Most of it is just generalizations--same way that most Americans think of China. Just go with an open mind and everything will go fine... and just as with China, be careful.

There is nothing to worry about. Throw aside the things that you have heard from people who have never even been here. What you need to worry about is that you might not want to leave once you begin to feel comfortable in the USA.
