Well...the obvious issue is cost, unless you're lucky enough to have that covered. When I was deciding, I chose an instate location because of a full tuition scholarship that I could only use in state. Location, I guess is the other big factor. If you don't have anything keeping you in state, then you need to decide where you can stand to live. I'd definitely recommend visiting any place you are seriously considering so you can decide if you like the city and campus. This might seem stupid, but think long and hard about how far away you can stand to be (or want to be) from your family. It sucks not being able to come home whenever you want. It also sucks always having to be home, seeing everyone you grew up with and having the same experiences. Also, if you already know what you want to go in to, it wouldn't be a bad idea to check into employment rates of graduates or the school's job placement percentage. Also, it would be nice to know what exactly some alumni in your field have ended up doing once they graduate. That might give you a feel for your potential opportunities if you get a degree from that institution. I don't know how much help I can be because I didn't really do a "college search." I just kind of knew where I was gonna go, knew that where I wanted to go wasn't plausible and did what I had to do.

Hmmmm thats kinda serious to think about, but as of for me, if you really want to enjoy your college years and be able to finish your major without shifting into another one is to make sure that it suits your interest, not just beacause of professional thing..Example, you like computer stuffs, you could take computer courses, if ARTs, you could go into interior design. Its just a matter of compassion when it comes to chosing your course so that you can totaslly devote your time and sincerity in learning things that you want to persue in the future. =)

A college whos degree or certification will help you select your carrier. A college which is renowned and deemed. Something which is best in itself. A college or a university where you can get good opportunity to grow and help prepare you better for your job in near future. Which orgainises good campus interviews and Group discussions, And above all, which suits your pocket.

First, I think it's best to ask yourself which course you're really interested in taking up. Second, in choosing the college/university, consider the cost (if this is an issue) aside from whether it offers the course you'd like to take up; and the environment or 'study ambiance' so to speak, which includes the student population, accessibility, safety, and conduciveness. If you're concerned about the school's ranking or reputation, you may have to look that one up (or research on that). Good luck!

I'm a recruiter for a university and there are several things that I ask students. One major thing is what do you want to major in? Once you determine that see if the schools that you are considering have your major if so then look deeper and ask yourself what else do you want your college to have. keep in mind that you will be spending the next for years at this place and you want to be comfortable. If you want to talk more just email me.
