Are you a happy drunk?

Alcohol effects people in different ways. Myself I am a "happy" drunk. The life of the party when I have a few too many. But I've also known people that drink and get violent. This is why my brother in law doesn't drink, he turns into a total butt. So I guess I just want to know how alcohol effects you? Have you done anything you regret while drinking? I made out with one of my coworkers wives last April at a party, neither one of us work their now, but I remember going to work wondering if I should look anyone in the eye the next week. Thank God my hubby and her hubby were drunk too and "egging it on".

My hubby is the one that started the whole "kiss fest". SHe was drunk and telling me she loved me and he was like, if she loves you you should kiss her. I guess her and I were the talk of the party, thank god everyone there was open minded and knew both of us.

I am a happy drunk, and also a very affectionate drunk. LOL @ your partner egging you on to make out with someone else. I haven't done anything I regret while drunk... in fact have used the excuse of being drunk to do or say some things that I have really wanted to do

I would have to agree. I tend to be a happy and very affectionate drunk and when I am talking to you I get all in your face. It has caused many problems in my relationship. One night i was completely trashed and I was talking to this girl and I guess I was like an inch or two away from her face when I was talking to her and my girlfiend, now fiance, saw me and went apeshit. That almost ended or relationship but we worked things out. I have recently toned down my drinking.

Haha I do stupid stuff.. usually I pick out the nerdiest guy on the dance floor and go up and rub myaself up and down him and dance all over him like a proper gay. lol they get soo awkward and it's harsh but i jus cant help it, its my thing. I would never make out with a guy though that would definately make me chuck! Girl on girl isn't so wierd though, maybe that's just cause Im a guy but it's more normal for girls to do it than guys don't you think. and 20 times hotter :)

LOL I have this picture of an absolute poindexter in the middle of a dance floor with this ashamed look on his face like he wants his mommy! I took my hubby to a gay club once with some friends of mine, one of the guys gently bit him and I thought oh man he's gonna freak and start a fight, but he didn't, he grabbed the guys hand and bit him on the neck! I thought I was gonna die laughing! It's always amazed me that it's okay for two girls to make out and everyone is like no biggie, but if it's two guys it's a huge deal. Ya only live once, might as well do it up right!!;)

I am a happy drunk also. When I have been drinking nothing is a bad idea, and I don't meet a stranger. I think that this is because in daily life I tend to be a bit shy, and take caution into consideration. I too have found myself making out with another woman at a party when I had too much to drink. The whole time between my divorce and meeting my new husband is a blur of drunken craziness on just about any given weekend. I was sowing my oats so to speak. I tend to become the life of the party once I get past that slightly buzzed point and begin to move into inebriated. We have a local bar/nightclub that has a giant Ronald McDonald statue sitting on a bench in the lobby, I have no idea why, and never really even wondered until just now, LOL. But anyway, once I was there with a big group of co workers and one of them said something about loving redheaded men. I of course remembered old Ronald in the Lobby and took off like a shot. They followed me to see what trouble I was after and found me sitting on his lap, patting his head. I informed my friend that he was mine and I saw him first. That so far is the only thing they haven't let me live down at least. I believe there is a picture on a cell phone floating around somewhere. Thankfully I have great friends who never let me go home with strangers or anything like that. Though once one of them did give my keys to another coworker she thought I should "hook up" with. He took me to his place, let me have his bed, and slept on the couch, thank goodness. Lord, the more I think about it, the more I think I ought to be embarrassed. I just remembered being at a local dance club with a group of girls, and an entire mens softball team from out of town came in. I told my friends thats what I wanted for my birthday. So one of them being a smart aleck went over and told them it was my birthday. I danced with the entire softball team at once and recieved lots of offers to share a room. (I havent really lived that one down either, every birthday at least one person sends me a card asking if I want to go to a game). That one was really out of character for me because I do tend to be so shy. Anyway, back to your original question. Drinking makes me a happy social butterfly with a tendency toward adventure.

I'm a pretty outgoing person sober, but reading your response made me feel like I had met a kindred soul. LOL I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who likes to get in a little trouble now and then!! :)

I am also a happy drunk. Either a happy drunk, or a really sleepy drunk. Never an angry drunk. I have gotten so drunk one time though that I threw up on myself, jumped in a pool ( it was like 50 degrees out! ) and then passed out in the grass. I felt REALLY stupid when I woke up. I dont get that drunk anymore!

It always amazed me that people would become violent after drinking because I was always the complete opposite. When I used to drink regular I would tend to become become weary after drinking too much and the only thing that I wanted to do was to go to sleep. We all tend to lose inhibitions after a few drinks, so I would not worry about staff parties. They are notorious for such behaviour and the novelty always wears off very quickly.

Yeah, I get all wildly happy and then all of a sudden it's "Sleepydoo time". My hubby says it's kinda nuts because I'll be laughing hysterically and having a good time then all of a sudden I'm ready for bed.

I'm a pretty mellow drunk. Sometimes I cry and sometimes I laugh. But mainly I just kick back. My cousin is a violent drunk and I was once on the receiving end of that. Not pretty.

I'm a very bubbly and outgoing drunk, which is the exact opposite of what I am sober, LOL. My MIL used to actually get me drunk, because "you talk when you're drunk!" Haven't done much that I regret while drunk, thankfully.

I guess I'm a sleepy kind of happy drunk, but I define myself further as a "laughing drunk" I have a few other friends like this and also some other happy drunk friends who are hugging drunks.

My husband says the only time I can really have fun and relax is if I'm drunk. Once I start drinking he just keeps feeding it to me. When we go out to a bar he lets me drink and he doesn't so he can drive. He doesn't mind one bit because he has fun when I'm drunk. He is the same way, except he is more relaxed then me even when he isn't drunk.

I am definitely a happy drunk and sometimes, like you, get a little flirty too (ok, a lot flirty!) But I enjoy it, and I have never done anything I regret, although a few things have made my face turn red when people brought it up again, but it was in a cute kind of embarassed way, not an ashamed way. People who get violent and angry when they get drunk really scare me because they are impossible to reason with when they are in this state and are sometimes extremely dangerous. Some people get irritable too (which I don't like). My friend Angelica will get so persnickety with her fiancee when she is drunk, snapping at him and being belligerent. She's not violent, of course, but sometimes I feel sorry for him the way she acts toward him when she's drunk. And then of course, there's the emotional drunks, the ones who cry when they get drunk. This sucks to be around too! My friend Chris used to always cry when he was drunk. Sometimes I think that if somebody gets really negative when they drink, whether it's crying, snapping at people, or being outright violent, it makes me think that these people have some serious psychological or emotional baggage that they need to deal with. I know that my friend who snaps at her fiancee has had troubles with him in the past for him cheating on her with her friends, and she has expressed an inability to trust him around attractive females. I think this may be why she becomes irritable with him while she's drunk. My friend Chris who used to cry all the time when he was drunk also had some deep issues related to watching his Mom get beat up by his Dad, his Mom beating on him and his sister, and finally his Dad abandoning the whole family when he and his sister were teenagers for some woman he met on the Internet. After he had made peace with his parents and was able to let go of the anger for what they did to him, he stopped crying when he was drunk and just became a happy drunk.

i dont drink but my husband does but not totally a drunkard..and i have been asking him what he feels if hes drunk..well he said that yes he is happy when drunk if the mood during the session is happy but if the topic during the session(drinking) is sad or makes you angry coz of some issues that have been debated by the group..then hes not or makes him a bully when drunk..

I do not drink too much anymore. When I used to drink more, I would usually get tired and fall right asleep.

I hvae never been drunk so I don't know what kind I am. My in-laws are all happy drunks. My hubby is a happy drunk unless he is drinking Vodka and then he is a real butt. So much so that he has gotten smacked a couple times from me for what he was doing or saying to me and he doesn't remember it when he sobers up so I have to tell him and then he is in tears because he didn't realize what he was doing and he is a really great guy otherwise. So since we have been married he has only had vodka twice.
