dinosaurs real or not real?????

okay guys heres one for ya...dinosaurs are widely accepted as having been around at some stage ie millions of years ago...yet creationists beleive that the earth is only a matter of thousands of years old...so who is lying? god or them,why would god go to so much trouble as to plant fossils of dinosaurs all over the planet? just to toy with us? i need your feed back on this asap

I'm not a metaphysicist or a scientist but in my humble laymans opinion, I think that dinosaurs existed, surely.
why? because of the fossils that were found. I don't know why the Bible doesn't mention them. I think that the Bible talks in symbolics only. Perhaps this is one of the great mysteries, like the pyramids, that we will only find out the truth when we die.

Well, actually dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. You have to realize though that the word Dinosaur is a somewhat new word. It was created when bones started being found. The Bible talks of great creatures of the sea, and in the book of Job, the Bible refers to great creatures known as the Behemoth and the Leviathan. Now are these creatures dinosaurs? That is a matter of faith also. Just as the rest of the Bible. You may believe the Bible is all metaphors, while some believe it is completely literal. I cannot tell you what to believe. That becomes a personal decision. But as for dinosaurs, I believe they existed and are in the Bible. The Bible is not an encyclopedia meant to answer all your questions; just the questions that matter. Like where did we come from, and why are we here. Things like that. As for the millions of years question...well science can be wrong. There is no doubt a lot of science is correct. But according to science dinosaurs and humans lived millions of years apart. But according to science's error proof carbon dating system, human footprints have been found to be older than some dinosaur fossils and footprints. But you do not hear about that in mainstream science...

fossils are bones, like puzzle pieces, if you have no directions or picture for the puzzle you have to guess how to put the pieces together, that is what the scientists did they guessed, now i am a christian and i read my bible but no dino's were not real in my opinion.

Digger, dinosaur fossil's are found in different strata of the earth's crust that can be dated. Also, in regards to chemical dating, Carbon dating is flawed. That's why Carbon dating is not the preferred method for dating rocks and fossils. There are a large amount of methods of radiometric dating that accurately measure the decay of radioactive elements in rocks, meteorites, and fossils. I do believe the Bible has outlived it's use, btw. If it's needed to teach someone morality or any kind of lesson, in this day and age when people are taught moral semantics from birth, then we need those people sitting on the sidelines for the remainder of their time.

Empirical evidence unequivocally shows that dinosaurs did indeed exist. However, creationists certainly have a right to their beliefs. Neither side is "lying", as each thinks they are right. The God that I know would not try to trick people by planting false evidence.

No one is lying. Bible merely declares that God had created the world and He created creatures as well. Creatures could be Dinosaurs as well. What is merely a matter of six days for God it is millions of years for us. Dinosaurs existed before man came into being. May be their presence was necessary according to the environment that prevailed in those times.

First of all, some scientists believe that dinosaurs where just lizards. Before the great flood (and there is proof of it happening) the earth had a big pocket of water vapor, which is the water from the flood. This water vapor would have kept the earth warm and spring-like. Lizards will keep growing as long as they have what they need. So they would have kept growing, only the would have looked like the ones we have today. They were probably killed by the flood and since the vapor is gone, and Noah took a male and a female on the ark, doesn't it make sense that any babies would grow to the size that they do today? I believe that dinosaurs were real, but the scientists make a lot of mistakes. Couldn't they have gotten the bones mixed up? Just because it lookes like it belongs doesn't necessarily mean that it does. Look at the Brachiosaurus. Besides the bones are very often found miles apart and they just assume that they belong. Hope this helps, and i am open to any questions on what I have written.
