This is probably a silly subject to most of you, but heck...I'm into silly subjects at the moment. Do any of you have to suffer through hearing the monotonous sounds of one or more ice cream trucks cruising through your neighborhoods? I do! There are currently THREE that come through each day, even during the week. And do they turn off, or at least turn down their silly tunes while the children are climbing over each other for ice cream? Noooooooooooooo....of course not!! Ugh! I swear if I have to listen to one more rendition of "Pop Goes the Weasel" I will SCREAM!! LOL. Well...I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Thank you all for putting up with my silly rant. And I hope none of you have to suffer the curse of the ice cream trucks like I do. Hehehehe

-sighs- Oh how I long to hear the music letting me know the ice cream truck is coming. I haven't heard it in years and sure miss it. Used to gather all my nickels and dimes together to get one of their fudge bars. Now, we are lucky if just one comes thru our neighborhood one time during the summer. Ppl just don't make a living on it anymore like they used to.

I know how you feel. But they are definitely making a comeback around here now. Today, there was even one in the turn lane with his music still on right next to me! LOL

Gosh, I haven't heard an ice cream truck in a long time. I think they have the music so loud to give your kids a chance to hear it so they can run in and bug you for money.lol. I think they banned them in my area. I remember hearing about people complaing so much about them that they no longer allow them to work here. I kind of miss them. I always got a bomb pop or an ice cream sandwich.

Hmmmm....maybe that's why it's so loud. I like the ice cream, but the music is just...too...much! LOL

It's not silly to me! My room faces the street and gah - the music from the ice cream truck irks me! it's so loud and worst yet the truck's speaker distorts the music and makes it scratchy sounding to boot. Talk about an audio assault.

That's a good term for it--audio assault. I like that. Thanks hon.

No, we live off of a highway and ice cream trucks do not come by our house or in the neighborhood across the street from our house. So, I guess we are lucky because our kids don't go insane wanting ice cream.

That's a good thing. It'll keep them a bit healthier that way. LOL
