Twice this week. It's awful. One in Thailand and I actually saw it because it happened near my campus and 30 casualties at the time of writing this topic. The other one is in the Philippines and I saw it on the news. Fortunately no one died.

we call it the running coffins. LTO statistics revealed that 83% of traffic accidents in the Philippines(to include burning/exploding vehicles) are caused by human errors, lack of trainings on traffic safety and negligence...

yeah right my friend. i find it a bit ironic adding our precious lives in statistics (God forbid!)and at the mercy of reckless drivers in running coffins.

For commuters like us, this is very disturbing as it is scary. We can be taking the bus which has been planted with a bomb or more. We can die anytime that way. The problem is, even if we know that we are exposed to some degree of danger once we take the bus, we have no choice but to take it day in and day out. If we don't, we can't do the marketing and shopping we have to do each day, nor can we do business nor report for work and earn a living for the day. We keep on hoping it stops, yet we find out that instead the incidents are escalating.

That is quite alarming indeed. I was in Manila last month and rode a bus from Makati to Ortigas and I was really a bit nervous. I had this weird imagination that it may have some bombed. Now I had to contend with another fear of it burning whenever I ride them aside from being fearful that it may be bombed.
