whats your preferred programming tool?

i like to build a program. whats the best tool for newbies like me. all i know is the else if condition. i want to enrich my programming interest. is there a way(S) i can do?

Agreed. Visual Basic would be my choice. Its simple and clear and the express editions also come with tutorial and how to guides. Just dont mix up vb6 and .NET. VB was rewriten when .NET was released. You can get express here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/

First you need to learn programming. M$ Visual Express is free software and you can get it at least for C++, C# and Visual Basic. Good tool for Java is NetBeans.
