All of the above. I remember those days. Thankfully I've graduated a couple years ago and now am on my own and doing my own thing. People told me it would be hard and a big adjustment for me, but I didn't think so at all. I love it. I love the independency, and I also get along with my parents a lot better.

What I hate about being a student is not having enough money to spend for my personal use. I have to rely on my allowance. And it's very limited. =)

I certainly agree. Its really frustrating when there's a lot you want and there's a lot to buy but you have too little amount to spend. Its like, you know you can get it, but just not now because your still a student. You know for a fact that if you work and earn money, which you know you can do, you can have the money to buy. But then again, you cant work - because you focus on schooling. Some manage to work and study at the same time, and I salute them. But going back, I understand maui_gomez_lim. It really sucks to bound to allowance limitations.

For me, having the worst teacher is the thing that I hate most for being a student. I hate teachers who are not that efficient in teaching and yet at the same time, displays favoritism. It is such a bad feeling to be with professors like these who do not know anything but to guess the grades of their students..sigh!

I hate that it's up to you to get to class--yeah, I know, it's part of becoming responsible--but it's so TEMPTING to skip class, especially when most college teachers don't count attendance! In elementary school and up to 9th grade, it's pretty much your parent or guardian's responsibility to make sure you get to school, because if you don't, they're the ones that get a call from the truancy officer, and if you were tardy you get detention or points taken off of your daily grade. In college, if you don't go nobody calls (in most cases--unless your teacher really cares and is genuinely concerned) and checks in to see why you haven't been coming to class and if you miss something it's your responsibility to ask what you missed and make arrangements to make up assignments. Not like grade school at all! (I know, that's the point!)

Hmm.. I don't hate being a student, I love it! Coz' all I have to think of are my studies, projects and deadlines. I have my allowance and I won't have to work for it. What I don't like about being a student is probably failure and mean professors. Coz' if you fail a subject, it means you're not gonna graduate soon. And those mean professors are just so inconsiderate! And I also hate the tuition fee!! It's not right anymore. I don't even use some of the miscellaneous fees and still I have to pay for it.. geez..

I don't care about peer pressure. But I do hate that it's so expensive and yet the teachers are often less informed on the subjects than the students are. Or that the professor will have a horrible accent or just talk so slow it's like they had a stroke or something. Being stuck with parents sucks too, but I have no limitations on allowance except that I get none generally (unless I'm out of work and starving). I generally work 20 hours a week at least as a student, and there was a time when I was working 60 hours a week. If I could just squeeze 60 hours a week again, I could have my own place.

loaded with exams, peer pressure, and so so many activities!! Thats what i hate most of being a student yet enjoyed every single moment of it!! But minus those things I've mentioned I still love being a student! My ex-roommate recently told me when she payed a visit during our college foundation day that if given a chance we would always love to be back as a student. Now, that she is finally a registered nurse but still unemployed found herself searching for her own social identity status in life! You don't really get bothered with money because you always have an on time allowance from your parents, you just have to attend to all your needs and requirements to be accomplished! I believe that being a student is one of the most adventurous and exciting moment of being a man! You spend years of learning not only lessons from books but right hand true to life experiences! You gotta meet, mingle and get to know a variety of people.. Terror instructors? They're normal! Its part of the awesome world of being a student! without them student life would definitely be monotonous and really dull.. Its always nice to think of our student life in an optimistic way! We only become students once in our life so why not live with it!! Enjoy, explore and simply love it!!

Well, at the moment not having my own kitchen is driving me batty, but that's probably not exactly what you're asking me about. At the moment I'm in a severe case of academic burnout, and frankly I'm having a hard time seeing the point in writing a paper that I spend hours of my life on which one prof will read once, grade, and then it'll never see the light of day again. That just seems futile to me. But I suppose it'll get better. Of course, I'm lucky, after this term I start a year long practical internship, and only after that do I have to reenter the classroom. So that'll help on the burnout side of things. I also really hate it when teachers give you busywork. My time isn't as valuable as yours, eh? Thanks for sharing!

For me, it's the assignments, the exams that I hate... You have to stay awake and burn your modnight oil because you have to pass. I also hate the limitations like you are not allowed to do this and that, cause you're still under your parent's roof. But i think its just normal.
