Tampons or Feminine Napkins?

What do most women prefer to use during period? Personally, I choose napkins. I still don't consider tampons for myself. Can't imagine inserting something into the genital. Oww. O_o I just wonder who invented the tampons and why like that?

These days i can get away with just a pantyliner since my period is almost non existant after having a baby!
Nope, there's no oww with tampons :) you can get ones with applicators that means you dont get messy & if you are actually bleeding then it inserts very easily - no pain involved :)
I guess they invented it like that because they fit perfect, absorb really well & with the cord, they're easy to remove.
I guess for some they're just mroe convenient - no smells, no feeling like you're in a nappy, no chance of them moving & there being leakage etc.

I would still go for Feminine Napkins.. :) I'm on your side, I've never used a tampon before and I couldn't imagine myself using it either.. I guess as long as we have something to use then it won't be a problem, it's a matter of our choice as well as if we're comfortable with it. Napkins for me is enough, there are longer napkins for heavy periods and the pain will go away in a day..

Well, it depends on what I'm doing. If I know I'm going to be very active during my period I tend to go with tampons because there's less risk of a mess and less maintenance. If I'm just going to be lounging around though I'll go with pads. And tampons don't actually hurt... it's a bit uncomfortable the first few times, but you get the hang of it.
