There are quite a few animals I am afraid of, big dogs for one, I have heard so many horror stories where dogs have attacked humans for no reasons and the scars are atrocious and shocking and have scarred people for life. I am also frightened of wasps because I am highly allergic to them and one sting could kill me. Snakes, crocodiles and alligators also frighten me but thankfully we don't have them in the UK!

yes, we all grew up to fear certain animals. When we were children we were made to understand that lions are the most deadly animals. However, there was another dimension, we were also told that the hyena had the sharpest teeth that spared no bone! We then grew up to fear hyenas more than any animal. Infact that fear was positively exploited by our parents who used to deal with our nagging by saying an hyena was coming and we would humble up!

I used to not be, but after reading one too many stories about how dogs eat the toes and other parts off of small babies, I tend to be leary when coming face to face with one. I mean, they are pets, yes, but they're still animals and they have that potential inside them to go beserk any moment.
I saw a video of a donkey eating live baby chicks...

I can't say that there are many animals that I am afraid of. As a child I use to play with snakes and spiders. If it moved we seemed to love to play with it.
As an adult I find that I don't like mice that much. I am sure as I get older I will find other animals that I will be scared of but for now i'm just scared of mice.
