India is the largest democracy (in terms of the number of voters) and the second most populous (900 million) country in the world, with a civilization more than 5000 years old. The cultural origins of the Indian subcontinent can be traced back to the Indus Valley Civilizations, the remains of which are cherished today as archaelogical treasures. Here is some information on Indian Sculpture. Today, the cultural diversity is marked by 25 states and 7 union territories and 24 chief Indian languages, each spoken by a million or more people, and numerous other languages and dialects, for the most part mutually unintelligible. Many schools in the United States offer programs on Indian Languages including one on Hindi at the University of Pennsylvania. The chief religions are Hinduism (here is another interesting site) , Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Bahai Faith and here is another, Jainism, Buddhism.

India is famous for its culture,unity and the second biggest country in population.Most of them are intelligent and hardworkers.You can see this from the very fact that in most of the countries they ranks top.Vey crazy people for cricket.
