I am marking you as the best response because as his belongings were not touched and evidence points to the fact that the killers are known to him puts the entire pakistan world cup contingency in the ring of suspicion. But yes, it could have been anybody else also.

I agree with number 4) angry fans. Pakistan fans are very passionate about cricket and I think maybe one was driven to murder (although I hope not). Someone said they think the wife did it, but I'm not convinced.

i don't thin kthat he is murdered. it's only that poor soul could not bear the humiliation of losing to ireland and had a heart attack. he worked hard with pakistani team for a couple of years. he was one of the best coaches of the world. when one of the best sees the outcome of his effort like only seing his team get out of worldcup in the very first round, it's really hard.
besdies i don't see a motive for pakistani team or the administration to murder him. yes, a fanatic fan can be behind it, if he is really murdered. it's sad to have sch people who don't take cricket as a game and make it their obssession to an extent of being criminals. this is not a healthy attitude towards any sport.
