Why are people afraid to amit they look good

I dont think i look good personally. But why do some people think they don't look good when they ovibouisly do.

Usually the case is that they DO think they look good, but they just don't want to admit it because they don't want to sound like they're bragging. Or sometimes one person may not think they're good looking, but they really are. You can't always think your good at everything, because then your life would be a mess. I don't know for sure.
