Is it ok for your parents to choose who you love? Or should it be left to your heart?

Either ways are good. If you like someone then you can tell your parents about your choice, else they can choose for you, if you want. I dont think so that arranged marriages should be outlawed, its too strong a statemnt in that matter. The only thing is that parents should understand what you want and you should convey your choice properly to them. If you dont have any choice in particular then they can do the decision making for you. It all completely depends on your understanding with your parents.

Though I am against arranged marriages and believes that each person should be given the choice to choose ones own mate, but I see also a lot of arranged marriages that worked out. In a sense, arranged marriages is voidable if it could be proven that you were married against your will.

I'm against arranged marriages even though I know people who got married that way and they have been married for a long time and are happy. But nowadays that it's easy for women and men to meet and date I think this should be left to your heart. If someone's marriage didn't work they wouldn't blame their parents for that.
