I purchased something from a child that was selling something for their organization..
When I got my order ..It was all mixed up..
I returned one of the items and asked for them to bring the one I had ordered.
Well they never brought back the item I gave to them to exchange..
These people happen to go to same church as I ..
Should I just not say anything or should I approach them carefully and ask them for the item I asked to be replaced? and which I gave to them..thinking I would get it's replacement..
I don't want to appear unchristian..but money is not that abundant that I can just give back an item without it's exchanged equal.

It is not unchristian to expect them to get your order right. It is unchristian of them to ignore the situation and not to try to rectify it! There could be a lot of reasons they haven't gotten back to you. Give them the benefit of the doubt, but do talk to them again about it. Unless you just want to write it off as a donation. It would be a shame to let it go though, as it sounds like it would make you leary to trust them in the future...it would be better to get the situation resolved.

Thank you for your kind advice. I don't feel anything is worth hurting the feelings or dignity of another person..so I thought I seek advice before I act on this..

I think I would ask them about the order is they did it to you they probaly have did it to other people in the church, they must know you paid for it. It is only right that you get your right order. Bussieness is bussieness.

I would say something. The children have to learn if they are going to sell things for fundraisers they have to keep things honest.
I would go about it in kind and friendly way. Say something like I was wondering where my item is. It has been a while now. Something like that. Then if you don't get the item go to the school and demand it.
Good Luck, you sound like a nice person for let it go for a while.

If it were an adult..it would be so much easier..but little ones are so sensitive..I don't think it is the fault of the child..it is the mother who promised "next week" and she really was responsible for keeping the little one's records and distributing what was order..After all what can you expect from a 6 or 7 year old?+
