in my own point of view, politics is a sensitive issue, particularly around election time....While you feel strongly about your political party or candidate, or have negative views about the administration, you should not try to win your co-workers over to your point of view...ayt ???!!!!

I think its alright to talk about politics. Mainly because politics is a general subject that everyone likes to talk about and get involved in. I think the concern here should be, how emotional can you get when discussing such topics. Politics is naturally a messy business. That is my opinion. If you wish to discuss such messy matters, I think it would be good to do it with an open-mind. Discuss and express your matters clearly and slowly if needed. And if you wish to disagree with someone's opinion do it politely and with grace. I know the elections are near but I think these are times when we should be more smart, witty and most of all patient with these kind of political matters. So, if you are concerned or maybe irritated by the fact that your co-worker insists his/her opinion onto you, be extra patient and disagree or rebuttle with grace.

Politics is part of our life being in a democratic form of government. But of course, we should not talk about politics in a place where we are there to work and not discuss anything that disturbs our flow of work. We are there to work and we are paid for that. It's unfair for the company if we do things detrimental or that could affect our efficiency.
