Responses in other people's discussions...

When you are replying to a discussion, do you read all of the other responses already posted? I do, and even comment on someo of them. I guess people who are here just for the $ probably never waste time on reading what others have to say, but I'm here for the interaction with people, so I'll take all the time I want reading. It also helps me find new friends, cuz if I like what they say, I look at their page. Sometimes I'll even look at other replies they've posted to try to get to know them better.

I always make it a point to read through other people's responses because I don't want to repeat what the others had already said. I want to help by giving advice that hasn't yet been mentioned, or add more information on the topic. This is how I enjoy myLot, actually. There are times, though, that when there are too many responses and I already have eyestrain from facing the computer, I don't contribute (add my response) anymore, for the main reason that I had to read through a lot of responses first. I like your input on finding new friends and getting to know them better. Happy myLotting!

I agree, I've seen some discussions that I thought I might have something to say about, but if there are already 30 or so responses, I don't bother. I don't see that I could have anything to say that would be different from everyone else. Plus, would the poster really muddle through all that to read all of the responses? Sometimes they do, but I just don't bother.

I try to but there are times when there just to many messages to read them all. I dont have a very high reading level but I do try to read as many as I can. If someone has already posted the same thing that I was about to post sometimes I just dont respond at all because I dont like repeating whats already been said.

yeah, sometimes I'll just post something goofy, just to say something different from what's already been said. But like I said above, if there are so many posts already there, why bother?

I actually burned myself out too and left for a while. I think the last time I was really active was almost 2 years ago. Maybe not that long. I don't know...

I usually try to read quite a lot of the answers just to guage the discussion. If there are pages and pages of responses, I might get tired of reading and rating them all and just go and post my answer. That is how I've found friends also...liking what someone has said in answer to a discussion has caused me to look at their profile and the type of discussions they have started.

Yeah, all of the friends I find are based on what they said in mine, or someone else's discussions. They I see what they discuss to decide if I wanna request them or not. So it's quite helpful to read other's responses.

Most of us are NOT here for the money, but for the discussions. I tend to answer discussions directly from my email notices, so I many times don't even see the other answers. I do like to rate everything I read, though. That helps everyone out.
