What is the worst job you've ever had?

My worst job was a temporary job in a landfill. I and several others were to pick up loose garbage. Since no one was serving a prison sentence at the time, we were all vastly overqualified. I was supposed to work there a week, but I quit after a day and a half. I wouldn't have stayed there all by myself with that guy either; sounds like you did the right thing!

Mine was at a travel agency. The travel agency is a big name in our country. I had to assist the sale director in planning for roadshow and other stuff. The morning I reported to work, the human resource manager said that I need to work overtime if needed and that can be like every other day. She introduce me to some of the staff in my department. I felt very wierd cause I'm of different race from them and the rarely speak English. By 11 am, I couldn't stand anymore. How to communicate if most of the time, they speak Chinese. I took my handbag for lunch and never return since. I called the HR manager before working day end and told them I Quit. Till now, seeing the company adverts in the paper, remind me of my worst experience there.

my worst job is being a waitress in grand hyatt.. its very tiring to the maximum level... but i just did it for one day, part time job..

The worse job i ever had was at one of the top hotels in my country. The manager in charge was obviously bias towards some older staff and treated the new ones like dirt. any mistakes caused by the older employees always land on the new ones like us. its like a job in hell. the older ones are totally against us as well as they never stood for us.

Wow, that does sound like an awful job! I've been pretty lucky with jobs. My first job was absolutely amazing, and even though I disliked my second, it wasn't TOO bad. I worked at a local hoagie shop, Lee's Hoagies. My boss was awful. Anyone could get away with anything, which meant no one did their actual job. Having a conscience, I picked up everyone else's slack. I quit after four months.
