When you go to the beach, what kind of reading material do you take?

I tried to take a book one time to the beach and I couldn't read it. It's just to noise and I got sand all over the book, and I couldn't get concentrated. If I have to read a book it must be on a quiet place and Portuguese beach are always full and noisy.

I'm not as big into reading as I used to be, but lately I've been getting into the classics that they pushed us to read in high school. My beach reading material this year will probably be Lolita, Fahrenheit 451, and some stuff like that.

I've never read any of the Murder, She Wrote series, but that sounds interesting. I usually read horror fiction, but I'm also a fan of the Repairman Jack stories by F. Paul Wilson, which I'm planning on taking to the beach in a couple of days. The new one I have is calle "the haunted air"
