Garage sales!!

What will you be looking for at garage/yard/estate sales this season? I'm excited it is once again yard sale season here. I'm looking for books to resell, cheap aquarium setups, and clothes for my children.

I can't wait for garage sales! This summer my son and I are going to go every week. My husband says I have to walk with the stroller, so I can't get as much. LOL We'll be looking mostly for things for my toddler. Mostly clothes, books and movies. He has too many toys already, but I'm sure he will end up with more since he will be with me. We're also going to be on the lookout for a swing for our back porch.

Walking would be a wonderful way to do garage sales if you had any close enough. Ususally there aren't enough in my neighborhood to make it pay that way. I have a rule with my children (sometimes we do better than others at enforcing it) that for every new toy they bring home they have to get rid of one of their old ones, that way we don't end up with a ton of toys.

We live in military housing so there are always LOTS of yard sales every weekend once the season starts. Everyone is getting rid of stuff either before they move, or right after.

Oh I love love love yard sales!! I'm so excited that the season is coming. I always look for things for my daycare. I have found some really good bargains at yard sales. I'm always able to get a big stack of good books for the kids. I've found many outside play toys. I only buy things that are in good condition. I like to buy the Friday paper which has all the Saturday yard sales listed in it. Then I go online and I map quest the addresses so I know exactly where each place is.

Our paper here had the classifieds online, so I usually go look and then mapquest the addresses and form a route so I don't backtrack more than I have to. Thanks for the response!

we will be holding our own garage sale, getting rid of our old stuff like clothes, pocket books and other stuff.

Getting rid of things is good too! I'm not in the right neighborhood to have a garage sale myself, so I tend to just shop at them.

I usually look for outdoor toys for my son and garden things because I can never have ebough of those. I also like small little antiques or unique things for the house.
